The Savings Tracker spreadsheet for Excel and Google Sheets, for sinking funds and savings goals. A preview shows the dashboard with total saved, progress, the amount needed per month, rings for your funds and charts by month.

Savings Tracker & Sinking Funds Spreadsheet

Sinking funds work when you know how much each one holds and how much to add each month. The Savings Tracker keeps every fund in one file: a name, a target amount, a target date and a starting balance.

You record each deposit and withdrawal, and the sheet works out what is saved, what is left to save, the progress, the months left and the amount needed per month. The Dashboard shows progress bars and rings for your funds and lists the ones that need attention.

It is a digital download for Excel and Google Sheets, made for savings goals such as travel, car costs, a holiday or an emergency fund.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work in Excel and Google Sheets?

Yes. You get an Excel workbook and a PDF guide with a link to make your own copy in Google Sheets. The two versions are separate files and do not sync.

Does it connect to my bank?

No. You type your deposits and withdrawals in yourself. It does not connect to any bank or app.

Is this financial advice?

No. It is a tracking tool. Results depend only on the numbers you enter.

Is there an example file?

Yes. A second Excel file is filled with example data for funds, deposits and withdrawals, so you can see how everything works before using your own numbers.
